ART WITH A PURPOSE: Everglades Art Exhibit & Film Premiere

Wednesday, November 14, 5:30 – 7 p.m.,
Tampa Yacht and Country Club

Celebrate the natural beauty of the Everglades through the work and words of Florida artists featured in the Greater Everglades Conservation Atlas. Hear their stories of inspiration in the prenier of a short film called, A Light in the Everglades.

The Atlas was created by the Legacy Institute for Nature and Culture (LINC) with support from RBC Blue Water Project, and in partnership with National Geographic Maps. This multi-media experience is designed to educate and encourage curiousity about scenic, ecologically important locations throughout the Everglades watershed. Through art and storytelling, it transports online users to places such as Big Cypress Swamp, the Lakes Wales Ridge, and Rookery Bay.

On exhibit will be works by some of Florida’s gifted visual artists:
Clyde Butcher • Jerry Cutler • Vevie Lykes Dimmitt • Mollie Doctrow • Charlotte Lykes Jorgensen • Megan Kissinger • Carol McArdle • Elizabeth Smith • Christopher M. Still • Margaret Ross Tolbert
